// THE UMBRELLA
An alias, an operating layer, and the through-line across seven products that keep asking the same question: what can one person actually do with the right set of collaborators?
// What it is
Drako is the alias I work under, and the umbrella over the work I do. It isn't a startup. It isn't an agency. It isn't a SaaS — it's the name I've given to a particular way of building.
Underneath everything is Drako DevOS — the operating layer. A warm, single-surface workspace where memory persists, agents are on call, deploys ship, observability lives, and the day's work is routed through one place instead of forty open tabs. It's the substrate that makes the rest possible. Open-sourcing it soon.
"If you can give one person an operating layer good enough that a small set of AI collaborators feels like one organism — what gets built next looks more like a small studio than a startup."
Everything else under the umbrella is a vertical proving out a piece of that thesis. Different industries, different audiences — same load-bearing question.

Not raising · Not hiring · Not building in public
Not raising
Outside money optimizes for outside metrics. Drako is built to a quality bar, not to a deck. The work pays for itself or it doesn't ship — that's a feature, not a constraint.
Not hiring
Two great collaborators beat ten mediocre ones. The same logic applies to the AI agents I work alongside — the goal is one human plus a small, sharp set of capable collaborators. Adding people changes what the operating layer is for.
Not building in public
Build noisily and you optimize for the audience. Build quietly and you optimize for the work. This site is the channel — when something is real enough to try, it shows up here. Until then it stays in the lab.
